BuildWell Oxford installs fencing across Oxford and the surrounding OX4 area, from close board panels to more decorative styles. A new fence gives your garden privacy, security and a neat, finished boundary, and we build every fence to stand up to Oxford's wind and wet weather. We measure and plan the whole boundary line before work starts, setting posts properly in concrete so the finished fence stays straight and upright for years.
More Information
Before installing a new fence, we walk the boundary line with you, checking levels, discussing fence height and style, and confirming exactly where posts will sit. Getting this planning stage right avoids disputes with neighbours and makes sure the finished fence follows your boundary accurately from end to end.
A fence is only as strong as its posts, so we dig to the correct depth and set every post in concrete, checking each one is upright and properly aligned before moving on to the next. This is the step that determines whether a fence stays solid through winter storms or starts leaning within a year or two.
Once posts are set and cured, we fit panels or individual boards, keeping the line level and consistent along the whole boundary. We finish with capping and gravel boards where appropriate, which helps protect the base of the fence from ground moisture and extends its lifespan considerably.
BuildWell Oxford has installed fencing across the city for 30 years, working on boundaries of every length throughout the OX4 postcode, from small back garden fences to longer runs on larger rural plots. Setting posts properly in concrete is a step we never rush, whatever the size of the job.

We have built extensions in Marston, laid patios in Sandford on Thames, put up new fencing in Wheatley and re-turfed gardens in Radley. Our vans are a familiar sight on the roads around Cumnor and Sunningwell too, and many of our newer customers come to us on the recommendation of a neighbour we have already worked for. We know Oxford's streets, its older housing stock and its newer developments, and that local knowledge helps us get every job right first time.

STILL NOT SURE?
Fence costs in Oxford depend on the length of the boundary, the style chosen and ground conditions. BuildWell Oxford provides a clear quote after visiting your property and discussing what you need.
Most garden fence installations in Oxford take one to two days, depending on the length of the boundary. Concrete around new posts needs time to cure before panels are fitted, which we factor into the schedule.
Responsibility for a boundary fence usually depends on the property deeds, which can vary between Oxford properties. We are happy to talk through your options if you are unsure who is responsible for your boundary.
